John Farina

John Farina is Board Certified by The Florida Bar and is the only attorney in Florida who is certified in both Business Litigation and Wills, Trusts and Estates. He has recently been appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. In this important role, John will help shape the future of the judiciary in Palm Beach County and the surrounding area through July 2027. This appointment reflects his deep commitment to the legal profession, his integrity, and his years of distinguished service in the practice of law.

John is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer and as a Civil Pretrial Practice Attorney by The National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 1995—the highest peer review rating attainable from one of the nation’s most distinguished and oldest lawyer rating services. John is a Top Rated Lawyer in both Commercial Litigation and Trust and Estates Litigation with American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell™, and has been recognized by Lawyers of Distinction for excellence in Wills and Trust Law.

A Florida Super Lawyer since 2006, John assists clients in developing estate plans and administering complex trusts and estates. He represents clients in probate, trust and guardianship litigation, as well as in tax court controversies. He has been named a Top Lawyer by both Palm Beach Illustrated and Daily Business Review, and is frequently retained by other attorneys in Florida and nationwide to serve as co-counsel. He has served three terms on The Florida Bar’s Wills, Trusts and Estates Certification Committee.

John earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1981 and his Juris Doctor with honors from Suffolk University School of Law in 1985. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Massachusetts, the United States District Courts for the District of Massachusetts and the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida, the First and Eleventh U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Outside the courtroom, John enjoys working on his farm in Hobe Sound, Florida. An avid outdoorsman and accomplished clay target shooter, John has been named to the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s All-American Team and is a member of Florida’s Trapshooters Association Hall of Fame. He was also named to the 2025 All-American Team for Trap Shooting.
